Kick off your career in metalworking with a hands‑on two‑year apprenticeship as a Metal Technician – Machining Technology (m/f/d) in our company. During this program, you’ll learn how to set up and operate turning, milling and grinding machines, as well as how to modify and optimize CNC machine programs to achieve the highest levels of precision.

You will produce high‑quality workpieces from a variety of metals—ranging from single prototypes to small series—and then perform thorough quality checks on each part. Using modern measuring and testing methods, you’ll verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish and functionality to ensure our products meet strict standards.

In addition, you’ll take responsibility for maintaining and servicing the production machinery. Regular inspections, lubrication tasks and minor repairs will fall under your remit, helping to guarantee uninterrupted production and extend the lifespan of our equipment. For those aiming even higher, there’s an optional advanced qualification: extend your training by up to 1.5 years to earn the journeyman’s certificate as a Machining Mechanic. This additional credential paves the way to specialist roles and leadership positions within the metal industry.

Entry requirements are a secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate school leaving certificate (Fachoberschulreife). You’ll attend classes at the Berufskolleg Berliner Platz in Neheim‑Hüsten for your theoretical lessons, while gaining practical experience every day in our state‑of‑the‑art facilities.
