With the pneumatically engageable Planox® clutch type PPR, the compressed air supply is radial. The switching part, consisting of cylinder and piston, runs on angular contact ball bearings, via which the required contact forces are transmitted. The torque resulting from the friction of the angular contact ball bearings is absorbed by a torque arm against the foundation or the frame. The wear that occurs is automatically compensated for via the piston travel.
