The pneumatically actuated Lutex®-LKB is a dry-running single-disc clutch/brake combination (hereinafter referred to as C-B-C). Primarily developed for use in presses and shears, the K-B-K is ideal for accelerating and decelerating medium and large mass moments of inertia. The C-B-C reliably achieves the high switching speeds and shortest switching times required in press construction with high heat resistance and long service life of the special friction linings. A compact design allows the K-B-K to be installed between the machine frame and flywheel in the smallest of spaces.
