The KA replaces the complete spur gear transmission / gear stage on automatic punching presses, eccentric and knuckle joint presses or similar machines in which the energy required by the machine is taken from a high-speed flywheel. The ready-to-install unit consists of a high-performance planetary gearbox, a flywheel as an energy store and a pneumatically or hydraulically switchable clutch/brake combination.

- Torque range: 2 kNm to 2500 kNm
- Gear ratios i = 3.5 – approx. 10 as a single-stage planetary gearbox
- Gear ratios up to i = 100 possible as a two-stage version
- Preferred gear ratios: i = 4 and i = 6
