Strong service for high performance systems: Gearbox repair in cold rolling technology *

Nidec DESCH repaired a 260kW rolling mill gearbox for an internationally operating German manufacturer of cold-rolled steel strips and profiles. This gearbox is used in a 20-roll cold rolling mill.

Due to high production capacity at our customer, Nidec DESCH was only given a limited amount of time for the repair. After the professional disassembly, cleaning, and inspection, excessive wear on some roller bearing seats in the gearbox housing was discovered during the measurement of all components. The reconditioning of these bearing seats threatened to delay the scheduled timeline.

Thanks to close coordination with our reliable partners, special transports with our own fleet of vehicles, prioritized and professional refurbishment of the bearing seats, the schedule could be met and the gearbox was delivered on time for the planned reinstallation.
